Basic mountain safety rules

Mountain emergencies: 112.
Set off early: in summer, storms build up from midday onwards.
Let someone know your route and expected return time.
Carry a warm layer, rain jacket, headlamp and thermal blanket even on short trips.
In winter, do not enter avalanche terrain without a transceiver, shovel, probe and training.

Trail and access status

Trail conditions depend on residual snow, flooding and maintenance work. Official, up-to-date information on trails, access and traffic regulation in the upper valley is published by the Government of Aragón as the managing body of the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park, together with the Benasque Town Council for the shuttle service.
